  • Go to your Messages app and open any current message thread.
  • Tap on the Details option in the top right.
  • Scroll to the View your Attachments option.

  • Tap on Delete to erase the attachments and free up space.

You could also opt to delete multiple files all in one go. To be able to do it, tap on the ‘More’ option in place of Delete and select all the attachments you wish to remove from the app’s memory. Once you have done it, tap on Delete and you will be able to see lots of free space on your device.
